Integrated Document Imaging

Handwritten documents or reports may be scanned and incorporated as an integral part of the case report, using the several commercial document-imaging engines. Each document is scanned in as an image through almost any TWAIN compliant scanning hardware. Once scanned, these images may be searched by a number of criteria including the case number and document name. They may also be passed through an optical character recognition (OCR) filter to convert the imaged document to a word processing document. Imaged documents may be accessed by selecting or double clicking on the appropriate report title in the completed case reports windows.
